THE GOOD  HUNT

When two British botanists vanished chasing a rare flower in a South African forest, no one imagined their deaths would expose a radicalized couple's secret war on their province. The Good Hunt follows Detective AJ Lutchman's eight-year hunt for justice, filmed from the earliest days of the investigation (2018)  through to the June 2026 verdict, when the killers who called Rod and Rachel Saunders "a good hunt" finally heard their own sentence: two life terms each.

THE ALTRUIST

Armed with a model of the ship that carried his ancestor across the Kala Paani, Swetam Gungah traces his great-great-grandfather Dookhee, an indentured labourer's son who rose to own seven sugar plantations and gave it all away, building schools and temples across three continents. The Altruist follows Swetam from Mauritius to South Africa to Bihar in India, uncovering a 170-year story of poverty, generosity and a diaspora network built on giving rather than grievance.

INNOCENT PASSAGE

When the Wakashio ran aground on Mauritius's coral reef in 2020, it didn't just spill oil, it destroyed part of the island's last line of defence against a rising ocean. Innocent Passage follows fishermen, scientists and activists fighting to prove the damage, expose a government's silence, and warn the world: as reefs & mangroves die and seas rise, small islands are running out of shields, and out of time.

Les Maîtres de Chagos

When barrister Hervé Lassémillante died, his children found a filing cabinet holding twenty-five years of secret legal work for the Chagossian people, exiled from their islands to build a US military base. The Maître of Chagos follows Alex and Melisande as they retrace their father's hidden fight, from Mauritius to Britain, uncovering both a buried injustice and the stranger they never knew lived inside the man who raised them.

Foot in the Water

Six broke, restless housemates in a cold, rain-soaked city take an anonymous stranger's offer: an all-expenses paradise trip, easy money, just sexy feet photography, at a "foot in the water" villa, Indian Ocean slang for a beachfront property the ocean touches. The island delivers everything promised, until the requests get freaky and frightening, the staff's mutilated feet start making sense, and their host reveals the real game: the young women must fight for survival, running through the island's dense mountain forests, to get both feet in the water by sunrise and win their freedom. Foot in the Water is a savage, sun-drenched hunt where paradise was never the reward.

About the Title

The title carries a deliberate double meaning. "Foot in the water" is Indian Ocean real estate slang, an estate agent's term for a property so close to the beach that the ocean touches its very foundations. That's the paradise the women are lured to: a villa where luxury and the sea are indistinguishable. By the film's climax, the phrase turns literal and lethal: the only way to survive the hunt is to physically reach the shoreline and put both feet in the water. What begins as a real-estate fantasy becomes the line between life and death.
